Kenya Says Goodbye to: Wilson Ogwada

Wilson Ogwada Okach(1925-2010)
aka Baba/Father Walters or Bsp Walter's Father since in Kenya many are referred by the name of their first born or locally known child.

Kenya lost a great person and faithful servant recently. We offer our condolences and prayer for our Kenyan Family in mourning. I had the great honor of spending time with "Old Man Wilson", who was a double-leg amputee as well as missionary since 1936 and prior Luo Chief, during my last trip end of 2009 to Kenya at Beulauh Orphan Intiative. He was most inspiring and quietly humble. The last words he had for me were, "Kenya's orphans and widows are much suffering, starving, and need help. Please come back and help them."

My Dear Old Man Wilson - I will certainly be back to help and only regret I will not get to see your smiley, wisdom aged, and beautiful face nor get to share our future work with you in the flesh. But I know you have been welcomed into our Father's Home, His Great Kingdom, and that we shall all be together to celebrate what we have done in Kenya for the glory of the Lord one day soon.

Here is his announcement:
