Grace Family;
We are almost there! Our mission plan is getting closer to being finalized, then we fund and go. Here is what that mission is looking like; exact dates will become known later.
2009 November Mission Trip:
I. Travel to Kenya; arrive in Nairobi (2-3 days of travel)
A. Serve & Teach at Youth Conference in Migori with our Kenya Director Domnic
B. Build & Bond - Relationships, Networking, Partnerships w/local Churches
C. Research Land & Material Costs & governances of such projects in Kenya
D. Minister to Nairobi StreetKids & network w/local St. Kid Org/Churches
E. Travel Home to U.S. (2-3 days of travel)
Now we must raise the funds needed for our team to get there, do the work, and stay safe. Here is where we need your help! Please keep an eye for updates & future posts about our Fundraising Events that will include a Cookie Dough Sale, Candle Sale, and Rummage Sales. Help us by supporting these critical fundraising events. Without this support, we can not get to Africa to build a house this year nor lay ground work for future GFM missions and projects to grow this ministry and serve Africa's children; our Grace Family. THANK YOU and GOD BLESS!!
Sincerely,
Bobbi Jo Miller

We need your help!
Grace Family Friends;
Those of you living in AZ, it is time for Rummage Sales as we are fundraising for our 2009 Mission Trip, including team member cost, supplies, and services. Rummage Sale Dates & Location will be posted in the coming week...
This means we are in dire need of YOUR help.
Do you have any items in your garage or around the house you can donate for our Rummage Sale? Lightly Used, Desirable, ANYTHING will do if it is in good enough shape to sell!
Does anyone you know have anything they want to get rid of - friends, family, co-workers? We will take it!
Not only are we offering 3 different drop off locations... if that does not work for you, we will even come and pick it up from your house! Please email Bobbi Jo at gracefamilyministry@gmail.com or message on Facebook to schedule a pick up OR get a Drop-off Location Address. You can also call me at 480-430-8089 - leave me a message telling if you need a pick up or want to drop off or just have a question, along with your name and a number I can call you back at.
I will be posting the Drop-Off Location Addresses this coming week. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT! We can not get to Africa to build a house or serve the children without you.
Blessings!!!

Spring Update
Jambo Grace Family!
Just when we think we have a plan, God shows us different. There have been many changes lately with our organization, our mission plans, and our goal dates.
I will first off start with our Incorporation. We are still waiting for the Lawyer to finish this process. I have placed a call into his office and am waiting a return call to give me a better idea of exactly where we are at. At the very least, our packet should be complete but we are waiting to hear if it was delivered to the Secretary of State's office yet and the final owed cost.
Secondly, we have had some board officer changes. Our secretary, Shauna, has stepped down for personal reasons and can no longer fulfill her 1 year committment as secretary. We moved Carl Miller from his original Treasurer position into the Secretary officer position for now, but hope to find another Secretary as Carl is more called to an Action position within Fundraising. Andrew remains our Vice President and I as President. We are hoping to welcome Andy Morrison into the Grace Family as our new Treasurer upon his return from Texas where he graduates with a Finance degree next month, May. We are super excited for this possibility because Andy is a very smart and extremely caring young man who has a heart for mission and nonprofit work. May God bring him into GFM and bless us all the more through him.
Lastly, we are in the mission planning mode finally! The most exciting part of GFM!!! We are 99% sure we will be heading to Africa in November, 2009. Our plan is to serve as a team in a Watoto Village located in Kampala, Uganda for a week, doing as they need including building, painting, and serving. Following that, we will travel to Kenya and work 1-2 weeks there in Nairobi and Migori. Those wanting to go on this mission include Andy, Andrew, and myself. We also have a couple other people who are showing interest in missioning for GFM and joining us this year, but can not say either way yet. Though Andrew will probably only be able to be in Kenya a week with us and have to forego work in Uganda, we hope to pull together a mission team of 5 or more for Uganda as it creates more freedom in the dates we can chose to serve there. If we do not have a big enough team, we must serve under GFM as Watoto Global Team Members during specific dates of November 14th - 28th. Please help us pray on building a big enough team or for all dates to work out with the Kenya date plans for Migori's Youth Convention.
Let me go into more detail about Watoto and our hopes for this venture. Watoto Org has a very similar vision as GFM in creating communities for orphans/widows under the name of Christ. In fact, they have already built two communities in Uganda and are working on a third in Gulu, Uganda. For more information on this org visit www.watoto.com. They express desire to network/partner with other churches and organizations to build more of these Watoto model communities in other countries like Kenya for the street kids, orphans, ex-child soldiers, and widows everywhere. We see this as an opportunity to learn more about community building and creating; learn more about their community model and how it fits into our own GFM vision; and see if networking/partnering is something the Lord will lead us into with them. It is very exciting to find another organization already doing what we want to do in a neighboring country to Kenya!
Thank you all for your support and continued committment to our Grace Family!!
